About Us

Roger D. Beam, D.V.M. graduated from Purdue University in 1993. After completing an internship at Peterson, Smith, Matthews, Hahn and Sloan, LLC. Veterinary Practice in Ocala, Fl., he returned to his hometown of Noblesville, Indiana.

Dr. Beam practiced at Benker Veterinary Clinic for five years before locating to the south side of Indianapolis in Central Indiana. There, he started what is now Midwest Equine & Veterinary Hospital in 1999 as an ambulatory practice. It has since grown to a three-building Equine facility with hospitalization and surgical capabilities.

“It has always been my goal to have a multi-doctor, referral facility offering the best in medical and surgical care with an emphasis on reproduction. We are growing fast and will continue to grow to support the demand of the equine community. With the excitement surrounding the Indiana bred racing program, we have agreed to stand some of the best-bred stallions in the nation. These include both quarter horse and thoroughbred stallions.
Our immediate plans include adding more pastures, more turnout sheds and adding Indiana bred horse sales starting with weanlings in 2010. We will continue to foal out mares and accept outside mares for shipped semen breeding. We are looking forward to these exciting times and hope to offer services for anyone in need.”
